Leo Ribeiro

Bio:

Leonardo Ribeiro is an undergraduate student at UC Berkeley from Brasilia, Brazil. He is majoring in Nuclear Engineering and minoring in Materials Science and Engineering. His research interests include nuclear nonproliferation, semiconductor technology, radiation detection, and international relations. His previous research experience includes an undergraduate apprenticeship in Project ATLAS at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (particle detection for accelerator applications) and a research internship at the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Education and Research Center at KAIST, South Korea (pyroprocessing and spent fuel management). Leo returned to LBNL and joined the Bay Area Neutron Group. He currently assists research involving neutron detection using scintillators. Leo is also the guitarist of a rock band and likes composing songs in his free time.
