Sandra Bogetic

Bio:

Sandra Bogetic is a graduate student in the Department of Nuclear Engineering at UC Berkeley. She received a B.S. in Energy engineering from Politecnico di Milano, and a M.S. in Nuclear Engineering from the Swiss Federal Institutes of Technology in Zurich. Sandra previously worked in reactor core design for BWR and fast reactors. She is now a Lawrence Livermore Graduate Scholar. Her research interests lie in optimization problems for neutron energy tuning assemblies, mainly for shaping the 14 MeV NIF neutron source to provide a well proven and benchmarked tool to apply to a large variety of fields. Sandra is interested in clean energy, nuclear physics, numerical simulations for nuclear reactions, reactor physics, and medical applications of radiation.
